Unique to MRM is our ability to assist our clients in developing, designing, and implementing systematic risk management programs/solutions. MRM assists clients in deciding whether the "make", "best practice", or "buy" solution is best, based on the client's unique circumstance (see chart below).

MRM staff, equipped with the findings and recommendations documented in the Risk Management Assessment, work with the client to design a program specifically addressing their most significant malpractice exposure areas.

MRM's team is sensitive to the operational realities of its clients and works in conjunction with its clients to design processes that will minimize workflow disruption and leverage technology when appropriate.

Using Technology to Enhance Risk Management

MRM has evaluated numerous healthcare information systems and has had experience with several of the market leader systems being implemented by healthcare facilities across the country. MRM's experience suggests that system functionality to support important risk management efforts like " test tracking, patient follow-up, physician hot lists etc.." often exists but the criteria, rules and content necessary to leverage those information systems have not been adequately developed. MRM's team has worked with providers to design and create the content and rules necessary to leverage existing information technology systems to introduce cost effective and efficient risk management programs.
