Residency Program

Risk Management Education for Residents and Fellows

Medical Risk Management, LLC (“MRM”) has developed and instituted a proven and effective Risk Management Education Program specifically designed for Residents and Fellows.

This disciplined and novel approach is designed to improve the participants’ knowledge base and understanding of patient safety and risk management exposures that they face while meeting most of the common program requirements outlined by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (AGCME).

This Risk Management Education Program uses the most powerful teaching methods including lectures, interactive discussions, web-based education and periodicals.

The goals of the Residency Risk Management Education Program are to:

  1. Educate the residents and fellows about the medico-legal environment in which they operate.

  2. Expose the residents and fellows to the most common malpractice exposures that occur with the medical and surgical specialties.

  3. Identify “best practices”, practical risk management/patient safety interventions that will reduce malpractice exposures and improve patient safety.

It is MRM’s goal to equip residents and fellows with the tools necessary to deliver safe and effective care to patients during their programs and into their private practice.
